Stress

Life is an open book!

We can potentially learn at least one, if not several lessons, every day!

Where do we learn these lessons you may ask?  Here are three ideal places where lessons are learned daily.

Preparation

I am going for a surgery tomorrow. Initially this caused me a lot of stress and anxiety!

I started to prepare for it by reading up on it, speaking to people who knew about it, and visiting the hospital where the surgery is taking place.  I found that my anxiety and stress level kept going down as I began to know more and more about it.

The lesson applies in all walks of life.  Anything we worry about can be substantially reduced or even eliminated by preparation.

Not a Waste of Time!

Being early is a trait I have noticed in many successful people.

I was doing a presentation at a breakfast event where a very successful entrepreneur/executive was my guest.

I went to the event very early to set up and get ready. When I reached the site my guest was already there! He was on the phone speaking to his client.

Upon reflection I gathered the beauty of being early:

Going with the Flow and Building on Momentum!

When things take off for you, do you build on momentum or allow things to get fizzled out?

Going with the flow is easier than going against it.

With the flow, things feel natural and spontaneous. You invite synchronicity!

When you go against the flow things are uphill, difficult, haphazard.

When you are with the flow, you are relaxed, gentler, calmer! On the other hand when you go against the flow, you are generally frustrated and less gentle.

Calm and Influential!

When you rush through things, you actually slow down.

Rushing creates low energy and frustration.

It leads you to make inappropriate decisions and also leads to duplication of effort.

People around you also feel your negative energy, which can have an adverse effect on them.

On the other hand, when you are calm and confident things seem to fall into place.  You make appropriate choices and become influential.

How about you?

Are you rushing your way through life or are you calm and influential?

Happy anxiety free living!

Most things we go through which create frustration are in the big scheme of things not that crucial.

However, we still go through unhappiness and anxiety.

How do we overcome this?

Happy Giving and Bonding!

My 19 year old daughter, Sahar, was recently asked to sing a hymn in front of several hundred people.

She was given about 24 hours to prepare. Luckily, we had time together as a family which enabled her to practice the respective hymn many times before the event.

About 20 minutes before she was going to sing, she was told that she was supposed to sing a different hymn than the one she was given. There was panic all around! I had gone to park the car after dropping my wife Farzana and my daughter at the location.

Giving in Difficult Times

Many people are time starved. They are so busy working, commuting, involved.

There is little time for exercise, relaxation, family, self, meditation or financial planning.  Stress and dissatisfaction are widespread.

The conventional solution is work hard, work fast and become self centered.  Is that working?

Not really!

There is still lack of fulfillment and happiness.  Relationship challenges and negative energy still prevail.

So what is the solution?

Giving!
